Biography

I have a sincere and fraternal relationship with salvage, forgotten papers and documents, everyday’s scrap. It’s like a mutual collusion between us.
I’m seeking their company because they offer me their stories, their history, because they suggest me more, and because they allow me to share it.
I dig them out, store them, conserve them, and then put them together in order to shape what I want to hand on.
Combination is central in my work : I’m looking for the transfiguration of an object responding to another, for the resonance between objects, color and typography. I’m trying to catch and set their dialogues.
To me, a story is a superposition of different layouts revealed to the on-looker like a puzzle, one by one and then altogether. The three-dimension box allows me to mold, from an element to the other, multiple paths and crossings, secret passages and trapdoors, wide open to exploration.
My favorite structure is the open box, because it is like a reflection of human conscience, partitioned and limited by its benchmarks but also, through its bare front, open-mouthed on infinite universes longing for decryption.
Objects and what they have to tell us are milestones, I’m just asking the viewer to take his time, and to enjoy walking along his own track.
