Biography

My creative journey is a quiet and contemplative one where I am both the child at play and the artist at work. Wherever I go, I scan the grounds for relics of abandoned objects. Exposure to sporadic climate for months, sometimes years, an extraordinary generation of hybrids emerges, displaying exquisite qualities of both natural and man-made worlds, yet belonging to neither of them. Although worthless and beyond recyclable, they carry an irresistible beauty and disarming elegance. I carve some of them in stone, others I cast in bronze, lifting the blindfold of prejudice and revealing the beauty that I see. My simple collages of beach plastic speak for themselves yet it is with my fragile miniature sculptures that new tales and myths begin to unfold, speaking from the depths of my wild imaginary world.
