Biography
Since mor than 40 years I am a passionate printmaker. May be also photographer doing prints - ore a Printmaker doing photography.
Tired of the acids and toxics in classical intaglioprinting I swiched a couple of years to Wood-and linocuts.
The larger the sheets of paper, the more differentiated the structures, the more time, patience and concentration are required for preparing the block.
Time, unhurriedness, graduality, precision, stillness and concentration on something approximating to the intuited substance of being. An insight can emerge. And then - possibly - also beauty.
To produce like a plant that produces a fruit, is the very essence of life and death. That is why I'm delighted with the mysterious duet between nature and muse.
